Thurirlith Vargach

Rule by Enduring Will — the law that endures because it must.

Rule by Enduring Will

Meaning: The Law That Endures Because It Must

Draconic Roots: Thurir (endurance), Lith (binding law), Vargach (dominance through might)

Khazrath governs like a winter cliff: it doesn’t negotiate with the sea, it simply stands—and it stands for Elandor. The Dominion’s authority is local, but its legitimacy flows upward: Khazrath is loyal to Queen Seranyth Veydras and treats her sovereignty as the “warm center” the ice still obeys.

Veydrasith Thurirlith

Oath-Law Under the Queen

Roots: Veydras (royal banner), -ith (belonging/within), Thurirlith (enduring law)

Khazrath is effectively a hereditary dominion beneath Elandor’s hereditary monarchy: internal rule is carried by the island’s Dominion Conclave, but all major authority is framed as service to the Crown.

Mirrith-Lith

Law of the Mirror

Roots: Mirrith (mirror/reflection), Lith (law)

Khazrath adopts Elandor’s civic principle: truth is a public weight, not a private feeling. When matters rise beyond local judgment—treason, oath-breaking against the Crown, or crimes that endanger Elandor’s northern defenses—Khazrath defers to the Rite of Reflection tradition as its highest model of due process.

Local adaptation: the Rite is held before frosted, rune-etched glass and conducted in the island’s “cold season courts,” where speech is measured and silence is evidence of discipline, not guilt.

Vargach-Kor Thurir

Dominance of War-Endurance

Roots: Vargach (dominance), Kor (war), Thurir (endurance)

Power on Khazrath is a triangle that never becomes a circle:

  • The Dominion Conclave (elders, war-leaders, adjudicators) sets policy and survival law.
  • The Stormwardens (Bronze Dragonborn influence) control sea readiness and coastal response.
  • The Mirror-Keepers (Silver Dragonborn influence) preserve legal continuity and diplomacy—especially anything touching Elandor’s Mirror Assembly norms.

White Dragonborn remain the majority spine: they hold the chair, the gavel, and the winter stores. Silver and Bronze are present by design, not by accident—useful, respected, never numerous enough to steer the ship.

Thurir-Khaz Trial

The Winter Proof

Roots: Thurir (endurance), Khaz (ice/stone), Trial (common term)

Succession is not automatic. Heirs must survive a sanctioned winter ordeal alone. Failure is not dishonor; it’s data. The ice is honest.

Veydras-Mirrith Accord

Crown-Mirror Alignment

Roots: Veydras (Crown), Mirrith (mirror truth), Accord (agreement)

Khazrath governs internally, but it stays loyal by anchoring “big questions” to Mirror principles: treason, Crown oaths, external diplomacy, and anything involving psionic truth-reading.
